Getting started
FOLO follows traders, not tokens. You pick people from the FOMO app whose trades you want to see, and decide what happens when they move.
- Sign in with your wallet. Open the app and connect an EVM wallet such as MetaMask, Rabby or Coinbase Wallet. There is no email or social login. You sign one message to prove the wallet is yours; it costs nothing.
- Get your copy wallet. FOLO creates a separate wallet on Robinhood Chain for your copies. Its address is on the Wallet page.
- Tail traders. Browse Traders or the live Tape and press Tail. Tailing only means their trades reach your tape and alerts.
- Choose a mode. Auto-copy starts Off. Switch to Paper to watch what your rules would do, or Live to trade for real.
- Add the extension if you trade on GMGN, Axiom, DEX Screener or MevX. Pair it with a code from the app.
- Off
- Alerts and the tape only. Nothing gets bought.
- Paper
- Each qualifying signal gets priced at a live Relay quote and recorded as a paper position. No transaction is sent.
- Live
- FOLO buys from your copy wallet on its servers, whether or not your browser is open.
Copy rules
A trader's buy starts a check, not a trade. FOLO runs these checks in order and stops at the first one that fails. The failed rule is written to Activity.
| Rule | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Signal age | Skips a signal that reached FOLO too long after their trade. | 90s |
| Sell history | Refuses a token nobody has sold in 24 hours. | always on |
| Min liquidity | Skips pools thinner than your floor. | $10,000 |
| Market-cap bands | Picks your size from four bands. A band set to $0 skips that range. | $10 / $25 / $40 / $50 |
| Adds | If off, a second buy of a token you already hold gets skipped. | off |
| Daily limit | Stops buying once today's copies reach your cap. | $200 |
| Price impact | Skips when the quoted impact is above your cap. | 5% |
| Sell test | Quotes the exit before buying and refuses if there's no route out. | always on |
Exits
An open copy can close four ways. Whichever triggers first wins.
- Follow their sell. When they sell, FOLO reads their remaining balance on-chain and sells the same share of your copy. If their balance can't be read (for example without a FOMO API key on the server), FOLO sells the whole copy instead of guessing.
- Stop loss. Sells everything once price falls the set percentage below your entry. Default 35%.
- Take-profit steps. Up to four steps, each selling a share of the original size at a gain you choose. Default: half at +100%, a quarter at +300%.
- Trailing stop. Sells everything once price drops the set percentage from its high after you entered. Off by default.
Prices move between a trigger and the sale. A stop is a level FOLO acts on, not a guaranteed price.
Signals and alerts
Every signal is a trade a FOMO trader made on Robinhood Chain, read from the FOMO API stream. FOLO keeps the trader, token, size and time with each one.
- Buys show the dollar size of their purchase and the token's market cap when FOLO saw it.
- Sells show their realized profit or loss on that sale.
- Theses (written trade ideas) appear in the feed but never trigger a copy.
Feed speed
With a paid FOMO API key the server receives trades in real time. Without one the public feed runs 60 seconds behind, so most copies will fail a strict signal-age rule. The app shows which feed the server is on.
Alerts
Buy and sell alerts switch on separately in Auto-copy settings. The app raises desktop notifications while it's open; the extension raises them from the browser even when the app is closed.
Quick buy
Quick buy buttons only offer the preset sizes in your settings. Before you press, the app shows the price impact for that exact size on that pool.
Wallet and deposits
Your balance is USDG, the dollar stablecoin on Robinhood Chain, held in your copy wallet. Copies spend USDG and sell back into USDG.
Three ways to fund it
- From another chain. On the Wallet page choose Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism or BNB Chain and an amount of USDC. Your connected wallet signs a Relay transaction and USDG arrives in your copy wallet on Robinhood Chain.
- On Robinhood Chain. Send USDG straight to the copy wallet address.
- Gas. Keep a small amount of ETH on Robinhood Chain in the copy wallet. A swap there costs cents.
Withdrawals
Withdraw USDG or ETH from the Wallet page. By default funds go to the wallet you signed in with, in one click. Sending anywhere else asks you to sign a message from your sign-in wallet that names the destination and amount.
Max leaves enough ETH behind to pay for the transfer itself. Tokens from open live positions stay in the copy wallet until you sell them.
Fees and referrals
| Cost | Amount | Where you see it |
|---|---|---|
| FOLO fee | 1% of each buy and sell | Receipt, "FOLO fee" |
| FOLO fee if referred | 0.9%, for good | Receipt and Invite page |
| Network gas | Robinhood Chain gas, paid in ETH | Receipt, "Gas" |
| Route fee | Relay's own fee on the swap | Receipt, "Route" |
The FOLO fee is taken inside the swap. It's not added on top, and there are no deposit fees or subscriptions.
Referrals
Your link looks like folo.lol/i/yourcode. A friend who joins through it pays 0.9% instead of 1%. You earn 0.25% of their live trading volume, taken from FOLO's fee rather than from them.
Worked example: a friend trades $100. Their FOLO fee is $0.90 and $0.25 of that is yours. Rewards pay out in USDG to your copy wallet every two hours once you're owed $5, about $2,000 of your friends' volume. Until then the Invite page shows the running total.
Chains and terminals
- Trading chain
- Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663). All copies, quick buys and sells happen here.
- Deposit sources
- Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism and BNB Chain via Relay, or USDG sent directly on Robinhood Chain.
- Terminal overlays
- GMGN, Axiom, DEX Screener and MevX token pages. On a token from another chain the extension says FOLO doesn't trade it yet.
- Trader source
- FOMO, read through fomoapi.io.
FOLO is independent of every platform named here. Naming them says where FOLO works, not that they endorse it.
Security
- Your sign-in wallet never leaves your control. FOLO asks it to sign messages, never to hand over a key.
- Your copy wallet is generated on FOLO's server and its private key is encrypted at rest. The engine decrypts it only to sign your trades and withdrawals.
- Export the copy wallet key from the Wallet page after signing a message from your sign-in wallet. Anyone holding that key controls the wallet, so never paste it into a chat, form or support request.
- Stopping copies: set the mode to Off. Closing your laptop doesn't stop live copying, because it runs on the server.
- Token risk stays with you. The sell test catches many traps, not all. A copy can lose everything.
Troubleshooting
A trader bought and I didn't copy
Open Activity. A missing row means the signal never reached you: check that you tail the trader and that copying is on for them. A row marked skipped or refused names the rule that stopped it. Check that rule before loosening it; it may be doing exactly what you set.
Every copy says "signal arrived too late"
The server is probably on the free, 60-second delayed feed. Raise your signal-age limit above 60 seconds, or run FOLO with a FOMO API key for realtime signals.
The extension shows nothing on a token page
Make sure you're on a single token page, not a list. On a chain FOLO doesn't trade, the pill says so. If a terminal changed its layout, reload the page; the overlay reads the token address from the URL.
A sell failed
FOLO retries on the next trigger. After six failed attempts with no route, the position is marked written off and its cost counts as a loss. The tokens stay in your copy wallet if you want to try yourself with the exported key.
My deposit hasn't arrived
Cross-chain deposits usually land within a minute or two. Check the source transaction in your wallet, then the copy wallet on the Robinhood Chain explorer. Don't send the same deposit twice while the first is pending.
